Two states

Interesting things happen accidentally.

Though i have read the previous three books of Chetan,i wasn't aware of the fact that his fourth one was released in october itself(pardon my ignorance..!!!!)It was in the first week of dec, when i had gone to Swapna book house in bangalore to look for some entrance exam books for my brother,i happened to see a red coloured book with the author name gloring as "chetan bhagat" in the bottom..I neither knew the theme of novel nor studied the book review anywhere but my heart was urging me to own it.

It is about the love story between two IIM-A graduates who were from two different states of India. The boy hailing from punjab(Krish) while the groom is from Tamilnadu(Ananya). The main part revolves around convincing their future in-laws for which krish goes to Chennai and for the same, ananya visits delhi(It was reiterated by chetan too-In india you need to marry the whole family).Though i'm not a fan of romance stories, i liked the hilarious way of describing the difficulties faced by krish during his 6 month stint in "Thalai Nagaram".Obviously, he will.To enjoy the essence and glamour at some part of the novel, either you should have known tamil or you need to seek for translation.

Though chetan draw parallel lines between the story and his real life,it's hard to track what are all the real incidents.Glitz and glam has been added to the novel by means of using some high profile institutions like IIM-A,Citibank.

Well, chetan is the real author for typical indians,he not only uses simple language but also sells his books in the range of 100 rupees. And anyone who has keen interests in Bollywood/Kollywood/Tollywood can easily surmise the twists and climax of the tale even before half way finishing the novel.

It seems Chetan has begun writing books that can be easily tuned into conventional indian movies.Who knows, within a span of 12 months, we can expect one such.
